A little project I’m working on for the summer to keep me occupied.

A short animated clip to get across my idea for a Tour de France ident.

For a D&AD and Eurosport brief 2013.

Created: 2013

Made using: Adobe Flash, which I had only been using about a week before making this.

Uploading here for portfolio purposes.

Self Initiated, final project of 2nd year at uni.

Final animation to support and explain Omnihub, a product and system designed to provide wireless internet to developing countries for purposes of education.

The internet is one of the biggest existing sources of knowledge and millions worldwide don’t have access to it. Omnihub provides this access through a mesh network at a low cost price which is funded through customers who opt in with their broadband companies.

Work in progress, (low quality so I could upload it)

Work in progress, (low quality so I could upload it)

The beginning of a case film/animation I’m working on, no sound and unfinished, but I thought I’d show it anyway, as I’m quite proud of achieving it in an afternoon.

Dialogue that will go with this section:
"Education is a big deal"
"Right?"
"Did you know that more than 774 million people, worldwide, can’t read?"
"And that two thirds of those people are female?"

charlyfaced:

Made this at Pick Me Up, #secret7s Record sleeve for Metronomy’s ‘Love Letters’ :)

I did indeed, and on that note, just to say Pick Me Up was such a great place to spend my Saturday in London!

DCM Romance Ident, D&AD

(Not submitted to the competition)

An ident for the D&AD New Blood brief (2014) set by Digital Cinema Media (DCM).

DCM said themselves in their presentation pack that they aim to connect brands, film and people, so the concept of bringing together ‘our world’ and ‘your world’ originated from there. This specific ident is based on the genre of romance, using abstract sound and footage to convey the emotions associated with watching this type of film.

Footage: Charly Waite

Sound: ‘Classic Piano Music Track, You Will Know That I Love You’ from FreeSFX, stock sound
